Greeley Grove was established in 2023 but our history is rich and deep! In 1901 the Royal Co-op Creamery was built in the village of Greeley, which was named for Elam Greeley, a lumberman, who was the co-founder of the city of Stillwater. The creamery processed milk and made 'fancy' butter from the area's local dairy farms.
The original creamery burned down, and in 1913 a brick creamery was rebuilt in its place which operated until the mid-70's. The building changed hands a few times, and in the early 1990's it was lovingly converted into a home.
My husband Bob and I purchased the property in the fall of 2021 and we feel so blessed to be able to care for the house, land, and the small orchard that was planted some 25+ years ago.
Looking for a way to expand upon the orchard business, I opened a brick-and-mortar store where I sell beautiful home décor and specialty gifts year-round. I love meeting new people and it is so delightful when someone comes in and shares their connection to the Creamery!
Thank you for coming along with me on this joyous journey and I hope to have the chance to meet you at the store!
Krista
